I started out not knowing exactly what I was looking for other than affordable within my budget. I started out in the 55 and older neighborhoods. My spouse wanted more land with the ability to build a shop or small barn. We were on 2 different pages. He wanted a fixer upper, and at the same time I was over any construction and did not want any yard work or a pool. Iris would note comments and changes in our requirements after seeing many homes. Eventually it became clear to us that living close to our grandchildren was most important to my spouse and I.
